Deion Sanders Finalizing Deal to Become Jackson State Head Coach
Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders is finalizing a deal with Jackson State University to become the school's next head coach.
According to Sports Illustrated's Ross Dellenger, the deal is being finalized but Sanders and Jackson State still have a number of contractual details to smooth out. One of those being the fact that Sanders is currently under contract with Under Armour while Jackson State is a Nike school.
HBCU Sports' Kenn Rashad, is reporting that there is a press conference scheduled for Monday morning.
Sanders has no head coaching experience at the professional or college level. So what is Jackson State hoping he brings to the organization?
Sports Illustrated host Kaitlin O'Toole is joined by SI's writer Ross Dellenger for insight.
